Rodrigo Garcia
Ceo & Co-Founder
Rodrigo is an entrepreneur and economist. Graduated of Master’s in Economics and Development (MPA ID) from Harvard University’s J. Kennedy School of Government, where he was a Cheng New World Fellow. He has worked as a consultant for the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, where he worked in the Research Department. In 2012, Rodrigo was part of a team that built a pilot version of index-based insurance in the municipality of Anzaldo, one of the poorest in Bolivia.
Fernando Yu
Chief Data Scientist & Co-Founder
Fernando is the Co-Founder of Suyana. A PhD trained economist, Fernando has worked for many years at the intersection of data science, economics and urban planning to provide insights for policymakers worldwide. He has worked jointly with cities in Europe, Middle East, North America and Latin America in the design of smart innovation districts and export strategies. He has also helped to design the economic development plans and economic diversification strategies in middle income countries. Previously, Fernando has worked at the Fiscal Affairs Department at the International Monetary Fund and as a macroeconomics consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank. He did a Master’s and a PhD in Economics at Harvard University.
Pablo Crespo
CTO
Pablo is a senior data scientist at ETSY and an Adjunct Professor at New York University. While obtaining his PhD in Economics at the City University of New York, Pablo conducted an object recognition research project along with an anthropologist. Their goal was to identify bronze era tombs scattered across 1 million square kilometers in a disputed territory in China. This work was featured in the New York Times and other media outlets.
Aniello Bianco
Data Scientist
Aniello is a director at IPSOS North America. Aniello is a data scientist with experience in statistical analysis and financial modeling. He obtained a Ms. in Financial Economics from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, and a Masters in Finance from Bocconi University, in Italy. Aniello brings extensive background in probability, mathematical statistics, optimization, econometrics, financial economics, and quantitative investment strategies.
